Resetting Your Microphone Settings

If you're having issues using your microphone with Matthew AI, there are some steps you can take to try and reset your settings.

Here's how to reset microphone permissions for web browsers on iOS and Android:

iOS Reset Steps

Chrome on iOS:

1. Open iPhone Settings

2. Scroll down and tap Chrome

3. Under "Allow Chrome to Access," toggle Microphone to enable it

4. Restart Chrome and revisit the website

Safari on iOS:

1. Open iPhone Settings

2. Scroll down and tap Safari

3. Under "Settings for Websites" tap Microphone

4. Set permission to "Ask"

5. Restart Safari and revisit the website

Chrome on Android:

1. Open Chrome

2. Tap the three dots menu in top-right corner

3. Go to Settings > Site Settings > Microphone

4. Find the website you want to modify

5. Tap to change permission to "Allow"

6. Refresh the webpage

Alternative Android Method:

1. Tap the lock icon next to website URL

2. Tap Site Settings

3. Find Microphone permissions

4. Change setting to Allow

Additional Android Tips:

- Check your Android system settings to ensure Chrome has microphone permissions at the OS level

- Some newer Android versions automatically revoke permissions for unused apps

- If issues persist, try clearing browser cache and data
